Dr. Jensen,

The 2013 CPT coding book has made some significant changes with psychiatric codes, in particular a move to using E and M codes. Are there any note templates and guidelines available in using E and M with this specialization? Thanks!

I am going to be working with the APA to develop a psychiatric E/M coding course in the near future.  If you are a psychiatrist and interested in helping with the curriculum, send me an email at pjensen@emuniversity.com.  PJ.

With the physician/ psychiatrist medication management code deleted for 2013 do you have any guide or reference in assigning and E/M code for medication management?  We also have psychiatrists who have medication management visits via telemedicine, will this still be allowed for 2013?
